For those of you looking for something fun for Easter morning, here is a review of just a few of spring-themed sets available right now on lego.com.  Each of these provides an opportunity to build, play, and connect with a child you love.

The first option is an entire section!  If you haven’t seen the Lego Botanicals series yet, take a look.  There are beautiful and wildly creative versions of your favorite variety of plant or flower.  I got a dozen Lego roses for my wife at Valentine’s and she loves them.  Prices start at $10 and head up to $60 and age recommendations start at age 8. Botanical Collection

Lego Duplo is always a good option for pre-schoolers.  This set includes 7 animals; 2 cows (young and adult), 2 horses (young and adult), sheep, chicken, and cat.  Not only is there a fun building experience but it provides hours of pretend play.  Ages 2 and up.  $49.99 Duplo Farm Set

Don’t think that Lego doesn’t know how to market because these smaller sets are perfect for an Easter basket.  This features a brick-built squirrel and duck with their own forest playground.  Inexpensive, cute, and endless possibilities for imagination.  Ages 8 and up.  $12.99 Spring Animal Playground

Another great Easter basket optin is this cute White Rabbit! It’s a Creator set so it can also be turned into a spinning bird of a posable seal. All super cute and fun! $19.99. White Rabbit Creator Set

Another basket filler is this quaint scene with hedgehogs enjoying a warm afternoon.  If you know a child that loves to play kitchen, this is a good choice.  Again, it’s low cost, adorable, and endlessly playable.  Ages 8 and up.  $12.99 Hedgehog Picnic Date

This is a cute little bird nest set that can turn into a fun decoration for a child’s room.  Sets like this make great inspiration for young artists.  Ages 9 and up. $12.99. Bird Nest

If the bird’s nest isn’t exactly what you’re looking for, the birdhouse might be.  Super cute and fun for any room.  Ages 8 and up.  $29.99. Birdhouse

I included this set so my wife and children would know what i want for Father’s Day, it’s that great.  This is the first Lego orrery, a scale model of the sun, earth, and moon.  When you turn the crank the sun rotates, the earth spins and orbits the sun, and the moon revolves around the earth.  With one crank!  Truly a marvel of engineering.  Ages 10 and up.  $74.99. Earth and Moon in Orbit

I enjoy simple, beautiful sets that I can keep on display and this one fits the bill.  Almost 8 inches tall, it’s a versatile place-filler for a child’s room.  Ages 7 and up.  $19.99. Exotic Peacock

This Kingfisher Bird is a favorite among Adult Fans of Lego (yes, AFOL’s are a thing).  It’s lifelike presence and reasonable price make it stand out.  Ages 7 and up.  $49.99. Kingfisher Bird

Another set that’s a great feature toy for an easter basket that won’t break the bank.  If you have a unicorn or horse lover at your house, make it your choice.  Ages 7 and up.  $9.99. Magical Unicorn
