Talk about an incentive! Lego is offering 4x Insider points during their Star Wars Day celebration. Earning points gives you access to all sorts of deals and offers, my favorite being discounts off your purchases. Typically, you earn 6.5 points for every dollar you spend and then redeem 650 points for a $5 coupon. That makes 13,000 points worth $100. I save up my points for the Winter Village Set every year. It’s a highlight of the year.
This year there are 5 sets that will give you four times the regular amount of Insider points; the UCS (Ultimate Collector Series) AT-AT, Mos Eisley Cantina, UCS X-Wing Starfighter, Coruscant Guard Gunship, and New Republic E-Wing vs. Shin Hati’s Starfighter. Each set captures favorite moments within the Lego lore.
The true value of these sets are the touchpoints that it gives people to come together. They become a memory that you get to build together. Sparking new memories and collective fun to be shared by the people you care about. The groups we lead need those positive interactions together. When we tie the positive emotions in with the people in our family, family gains more value.
The UCS AT-AT is a large-scale version of the iconic walker. At 25” tall and 28” long, it is an impressive creation that’s sure to require a sizable time investment (that’s a good thing when you’re having fun). There are 9 minifigures, mostly Snow Troopers and Imperial officers but it also includes Luke Skywalker. At $849.99, it is tied for the most expensive set available but right now your purchase will earn 22,074 Insider points. That translates into $170 dollars towards your next purchase.
Mos Eisley Cantina is a diorama of the iconic space pub but unlike the diorama series that have come out recently, this set will take some space to display. At 21”x23” it is easy to get lost when taking in all the details. There are 21 minifigures, most of the characters that you’ll see in the scene. This set is $399.99 and will earn 10,374 points. I keep a secret list of sets. By secret I mean sets that I don’t allow myself to think about because I want them but they are so far down the priority list, I may never get to them. The UCS X-Wing Starfighter is on it. It’s beautiful and reminds me of X-Wing toy I had as a child. It retails for $239.99 and earns 6,214 points. Click HERE to purchase.
The Coruscant Guard Gunship sits atop the “swooshability” category of all these choices. Truly a play set, it’s an easy one to carry around the house and make flying noises with. 5 minifigs are included, even Chancellor Palpatine and Padme. This set is $139.99 and earns 3,614 points. Last on the list is the New Repulic E-Wing vs. Shin Hati’s Starfighter. This set comes from the recent Ahoka series on Disney+. Millennial and Gen Z fans love Ahsoka from her time on Clone Wars, Rebels, and her titular show which has some great bad guys to go up against in play. It comes with 5 minifigures; Shin Hati, Baylan Skoll, and Morgan Elsbeth as well as a New Republic pilot and one of the coolest astromechs you’ll ever see. It’s $109.99 and earns 2,834 points right now. Click HERE to purchase.
