It’s my favorite time of year to write! This post is about Christmas, Lego, and Star Wars!!! From now until the end of 2023, the Millenium Falcon Holiday Diorama is available online and at Lego Stores.
The set is a picture reminder of the Lego Star Wars: Holiday Special and it allows you to add much more. Included are Rey and Finn in ugly Christmas sweaters. This is a highlight that can be seen in the advent calendars from recent years and I love it. If you are one to put up a Lego Winter Village, they are great tops to have for your minifigs.
As for me, I love including pop culture icons in my Winter Village so these characters are perfect. Some of my favorite vignettes in my display are the Snowtroopers playing ice hockey against Hoth Rebel soldiers and the snowman building contest where the Incredible Hulk is standing in a pile of white bricks after getting frustrated.
That sentiment plays out with this set, too. When you combine it with the Star Wars Advent Calendar you have a perfect display for all the builds and characters that come with it. In case you’re curious, the calendar includes a clone trooper, a battle droid, a gonk droid dressed up as a reindeer, an Ewok, Omega (from The Bad Batch animated series), Endor Princess Leia, and The Emperor in, of course, an ugly Christmas sweater.
The diorama plays out with a Christmas dinner laid out complete with a turkey and the trimmings. At my house we plan to add more to it including a kitchen scene where the Ewoks once again have Han Solo tied onto a spit and ready to roast.
